Regathering Plan

While we realize that mental, spiritual, and social health of our congregation is not being met at the current status quo we also do not want to have our congregation be the ignition point of a group of infections. We didn’t stop corporate worship at the building because the government said we had to, we did it to not spread sickness to each other and our neighbors. So also, just because the government says we can open the facility doesn’t mean that’s the wisest course of action. The current plan is to phase in worship during the month of June. CDC social distancing guidelines will be followed at all in-person gatherings.

Schedule

May 31 – AM Service online. PM “Together” The Wesleyan Pentecost Prayer Service join from home on YouTube  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7laAKsGfU6Y or the church building will be open to participate in the national live-stream.
June 7 – AM Service online, and, provided we have help for setup, a 10 am outdoor service at the church building. Feel free to bring a lawn chair. We may or may not be ready for a communion service at this time.
June 14 – AM Service online and possibly first indoor service at the building. (keep in mind that indoor guidelines are more restrictive than outdoor).
June 21 – AM Service online and outdoor service at the building, followed by a Father’s Day hot dog cook out.

It is unknown at this time when we will restart children’s ministries (nursery and above), but that doesn’t mean children and grandchildren should be excluded. We do have contingencies in place even though we are not going to use the facility nursery and pre-k areas.
