In Epiphany 2025 we embrace a common vision for God’s holy community as learned though Nehemiah.
- God’s community is a safe community. (Nehemiah 1:1-2:9) What does our community need in order for people to live in safety? How does that align with our passions and talents?
- God’s community is a holy community. (Nehemiah 2:10-20; 13) Is our work the same as God’s work? How do we perform God’s work as God would?
- God’s community is a working community. (Nehemiah 3:1-32) How do we work to build God’s community?
- God’s Community is a challenged community. (Nehemiah 4:1-23) How will we strengthen ourselves for the challenges of achieving a vision?
- God’s Community is an unselfish community. (Nehemiah 5:1-19) What assumptions do we have about people’s socioeconomic level?
- God’s community is a complete community. (Nehemiah 6-7, 11-12) How do we live in the kingdom of God now?
- God’s community is a learning community. (Nehemiah 8:1-18) How are we growing and causing growth in others?
- God’s community is a confessing community. (Nehemiah 9-10) Will we examine and change our actions to live in holy community?
