Paul Tillman serves as lead pastor at Heartwood Church. He is ordained in The Wesleyan Church and an oblate of St. Benedict at St. Paul’s Monastery. Paul works tactically in the areas of Christian spiritual formation, multi-ethnic ministry, and multi-generational ministry. He likes music and running, and has a library of epic poetry and science fiction. He grew up and worked in multi-cultural communities in California before moving with his family to the St. Paul Metro Area, with his wife, Jennifer, and two daughters.
Paul has earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Grace School of Theology and Ministry, a B.A. in Humanities and Religious Studies from California State University Sacramento, a M.Div. from Wesley Seminary, and is currently working on his D.Min. from Wesleyan Seminary.
Jennifer Tillman serves as assistant pastor at Heartwood Church. She is ordained in The Wesleyan Church and primarily ministers at the district level. Jennifer like purple and turtles. Jennifer has earned a B.A. from Moody Bible Institute, and a M.A. in U.S. History from California State University Sacramento.
Ashlyn Luttrell serves as Executive Pastor at Heartwood Church, bringing a deep passion for discipleship and leadership development. Ordained in The Wesleyan Church, she holds a Master of Divinity from Wesley Seminary and has completed coursework for a Doctorate in Transformational Preaching.
Ashlyn is committed to helping people discover their unique calling in God’s Kingdom. She creates welcoming spaces where everyone can encounter God’s love and grow in their faith, empowering others to express their faith by loving God and loving others.
Ashlyn and her husband, Rob, joyfully welcomed a daughter to their family in 2025. She cherishes spending time with her family, including their two dogs, Rory and Layla. In her free time, you’ll find her exploring new places in the Twin Cities or diving into a good book.
