Music
Where we are now
Every Sunday our church sings with a team of volunteers who bring their voices and instruments to lead us. With piano, guitar, and bass, they guide us in songs that connect the old and the new—hymns many grew up with and music being written today. For now, our pastor helps lead the group as they practice each week.
Where we’re going
We picture a music team that looks and sounds like our whole church and neighborhood. That means songs that reach kids, teens, and adults, drawing from both the old traditions and the new, and celebrating the mix of cultures God has brought together here. We’re praying for a new leader to step forward so the pastor can focus on other parts of ministry, and we’d love to add new roles like drums, lead guitar, and sound techs. Most of all, we want this to be a place where people grow—where beginners can learn, and learners can become leaders.
How you can join the story
We picture a music team that’s open to beginners and experienced players alike. If you can carry a tune, strum a chord, or even just enjoy working with sound, there’s a place for you here. What matters most is a heart to grow and to help others connect with God through music. More than skill, we’re looking for people who want to learn and serve. Whether you start in the background or up front, there’s room for you to take part, and over time, you may find yourself moving from learner to leader as you grow with the team.
Children
Where we are now
We picture a church where kids are woven into the whole community. Our Sunday worship is designed with all ages in mind, and nursery care is available each week with trusted, background-checked volunteers alongside parents. Sunday school is offered for everyone: for children, teens and college students, and adults in another. As we are able, we host Saturday gatherings for kids and families—hands-on times learning through story, crafts, activities, and a shared meal—created not as “drop-off” programs, but as opportunities for children, parents, and grandparents to grow in faith together.
Where we are going
We see a future where children, youth, and adults learn from each other as one family of faith. We value the power of stories—listening to them, passing them on, and discovering how God is at work in all of them. Our hope is for children to grow in faith, for adults to be renewed by their wonder, and for families to be strengthened by walking this journey together. In the years ahead, we want to create more spaces—on Sundays and beyond—for this kind of intergenerational learning to flourish.
How you can join the story
This ministry thrives on two simple things: telling stories and making space to listen. You can step in by caring for little ones in the nursery, helping lead Sunday school, joining a Saturday family session, or supporting behind the scenes with crafts, meals, or planning. You don’t have to be an expert teacher—just someone who values kids and families. The joy of this work is that as you invest in children, you’ll also find your own faith growing through the stories they share.
Online Engagement
Where we are now
We picture our online presence as another doorway into our church family. At the moment, that doorway is held open through our website and Facebook page, where people can find resources to grow in faith and read reflections from our pastors on the church blog. Our Instagram and YouTube channels are quiet right now—but that gives us room to imagine new ways of telling our story through photos, videos, and everyday glimpses of church life.
Where we’re going
We picture our online presence growing into a space that feels personal and welcoming. Our hope is to bring back livestream worship with people ready to interact in real time, to share photos and videos that reflect the life of our community, and to tell stories that show what God is doing here. We also see a future where more writers and content creators add their voices through the blog and social media, helping carry the message of our church beyond the walls of the building. These dreams are waiting for the right storytellers to help bring them to life.
How you can join the story
We picture a team where every skill has a place—whether it’s tech, communications, photography, video, or social media. You don’t need to do everything; it might be as simple as running a camera, chatting with people during a livestream, writing a blog post, or snapping photos that visually tell our community story. From behind-the-scenes roles to creative storytelling, every contribution matters. And along the way, you’ll discover that your gifts not only strengthen our church, they help open doors for new people to connect and belong.
