DESCRIPTION:St. Paul’s Monastery will host an ecumenical service to bless pets\, and our pastoral staff will be participating. \nThe liturgy is brief\, about 20 minutes\, followed by individual blessings (where clergy move among the crowd engaging them in deep Benedictine hospitality). Benedictine medals for pet collars and bandanas with the Monastery logo will be provided for pets. \nThere’ll also be a pet food drive for the foster program Tubman is engaged in until they can build Harriet’s Haven. If you don’t yet know of this service from Tubman\, please seek it out. What an amazing ministry to those fleeing violence to have more options in their healing. \nThere will be light hospitality of pet treats\, and cookies for humans at the event. \nSt. Benedict is renowned for his protective spirit\, symbolizing guardianship and care for all creatures. Bring your beloved pet to receive blessings for their well-being and happiness.
