Building Community
Belonging
We reflect the diversity of our city because the kingdom of God is gathered from people of every nation. (Revelation 7:9)
Sharing
We share our facility, resources, time, and influence to serve the east metro, especially the disinherited. Everyone can share their story, hear God’s story, and live out the kingdom of God. (Matthew 25:31-46; Acts 2:42-47)
Loving
We love God through obedience and love others in practical ways, drawing near to the kingdom of God. (Mark 12:28-34)

Lament and Listening
Together we will learn to honestly express pain and patiently hear hard stories, forming us to listen with empathy and gently guide one another toward hope in God without rushing redemption.

TRUE RELIGION
Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is near. Turn away from your sins and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15, GNT)
John Wesley believed in having correct Christian beliefs and practices, but that true religion begins with a transformation of the heart (our inner self or spirit). From that transformation springs right actions, justice, peace, and joy; fulfillment of loving God and loving others. Faith in Jesus is more than a call to believe the right things or do the right things but to become a whole image bearer of God who is part of a holy community, and ready to live in the Kingdom of God, not later in heaven, but now. (John Wesley’s Sermon #7 “The Way to the Kingdom”)
