The Story
A young boy, whose father is unemployed and has no contact with his mother, came in asking about food needs. While working a solution for that he also indicated he needed basic household items. The school was able to send him home with hygiene times multiple times from your donations.
The Stats
| School/Organization | Funds Used | Items Distributed |
|---|---|---|
| Tartan High School | Dec. 2025 $66.05 | deodorant feminine hygiene |
| NorthStar Youth Center | Feb. 2026 $99.15 | toothpaste toothbrushes feminine hygiene hair care |
We did less distribution this semester because together we may have started a movement. Tartan in particular got more donations from other givers and was able to also serve students who switched to online learning due to ICE activity. Donors, thank you for being trailblazers. Because of the added outside resources, I didn’t feel I could get an accurate count of students served just by your gifts this trimester. We plan to ensure we have funding ready for supplies to send home over Spring Break and to help students over summer break.
