Three Stories
One Tartan student lives with her mom and 5 younger siblings. Because mom is unable, the Tartan student takes care of all of the kids. She is responsible for bathing all of the kids and relies on the Tartan Student Supply Room for shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. She is also responsible for all of their laundry and frequently requests detergent and dryer sheets. She recently requested toothbrushes and toothpaste to teach the youngest kids how to brush their teeth. Without donations from people like you, our student wouldn’t have the supplies to support her siblings’ basic needs.
Another Tartan student, her mom, and her younger sibling recently moved from a shelter into stable housing. They had nothing to clean out their shelter space, but were able to get disinfecting spray, sponges, and paper towels from our Student Supply Room. They also used our Supply Room to kick-start their new place, stocking up on toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and hygiene supplies, allowing them to use their own savings for food. Again, your generosity helped a Tartan family tremendously.
Jesus ended the Parable of the Good Samaritan by asking, “Now who was a neighbor to the person in need?” The correct answer came, “The person who showed mercy in the use of their resources is a true neighbor.” Then Jesus commanded, “Go and do the same.” Thank you for being faithful partners and good neighbors.

My Good Neighbors!
The Stats
Since it was the end of the school year, I asked the social workers to tell me what they needed to send the students home with for the summer, so we have a slightly different distribution list than normal. I also encouraged them to empty their supplies because we will restock them in the Fall.
Do we need funding for the Summer? Giving over the Summer is up to you. If we receive funds over the Summer the plan will be to save most of the money so we can fully supply the social workers on August 31, and perhaps make a donation to Northstar Youth Center during the Summer. You can give here.
